Classes

We offer the following class types:
  • Children's Classes (ages 4-16)
  • Adults Classes (ages 16-above)
  • Competition Classes - kata (forms) and kumite (sparring)
  • Private Karate Instruction
  • Private Fitness Training
We have opened our doors to other arts that enhance the body and mind as well:(*separate from karate)
  • Krav Maga*
  • Yoga (AM and PM)*
  • Aikido*
 
What do we do in our classes?
Classes Structure
Warm Ups (lubricates the the joints, warms up the muscles)
Stretching (stretches the muscles to prepare them for training)
Kihon (Basics) (blocking, punching, and kicking, combinations)
Kihon Ido (Moving Basics) Solo/Partner Drills (executing techniques with repetition)
Kata (forms) (pre arranged movements where self defense techniques stem from)
Kumite (sparring) practical close combat sparring
Cool down (brings the body and mind back to a calm relaxed state)

Sport Karate or Competition Karate is a program also available that is build upon traditional karate. (Tuesdays)
